In my eyes, the true protagonist of the afterlife arc is the defense attorney, Jin Gi-han. The concept of having a lawyer defend a soul's life choices across 49 days of divine trials was wildly fresh and innovative. Watching him outsmart intimidating afterlife deities with incredible wit, strategic legal maneuvers, and absolute dedication to protecting his client makes for an endlessly thrilling narrative.
